Pick Modules are systems that provide high levels of productivity and space utilization for order picking processes. Pick modules typically integrate various types of storage equipment, like   shelving, pallet rack, carton flow, pallet flow, etc., in a single or multi-level configuration.  In addition, pick modules often incorporate transport systems such as conveyor, carts and related.  Pick modules are customized around your needs and are provided in a variety of designs, sizes and capacities.

In all pick modules, processes like single-order picking, batch-picking, zone-picking or replenishment are integrated into the solution.  Communication methods and devices like paper, handheld devices/scanners, pick to light and voice recognition devices are also integrated

Horizontal carousels can provide an effective and efficient means of high density storage with increased order picking productivity. While accommodating a broad range of products, horizontal carousels are application specific in regards to the right SKUs to store, order picking rates, etc., and our design engineers have the expertise to evaluate your operational needs to determine and integrate the best solution into the total material handling solutions and operations.

Vertical carousels and vertical lift modules can be an excellent solution for storing small to medium sized products and effectively utilizing overhead space and improving cube utilization. While vertical carousels and VLMs are similar technologies in terms of their application, they do have some differences.  Our design engineers have the expertise to develop the best solution to maximize their efficiency depending on your needs.

Automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS) are a goods-to-person based solution.  ASRS eliminates manual travel, increases productivity and high density storage. There are many different types of ASRS systems available, for example totes and pallets, as well as crane-based systems and A-frame dispensers.

Shuttle systems are a “next-generation” ASRS for cartons, totes and trays; they are designed to store, buffer and sequence products to meet your operational requirements.  Shuttle systems are a much more flexible system than many more traditional ASRS systems and can often provide a significantly better ROI, based on high density storage and increased pick rates. Multiple shuttles operate on the system, based on throughput requirements.

Pick-to-light and put-to-light systems provide a more advanced means for communications in an order fulfillment operation. Visually providing instructions to order picking personnel can offer operational efficiencies as well as improved accuracy.

Voice-picking systems provide a more advanced means for communications in an order fulfillment operation. Audibly providing instructions to order picking personnel offers operational efficiencies as well as improved accuracy.

Automated guided vehicle systems (AGVS) provide an automated alternative to manual transport and other means of automated transport. AGVS can be designed to handle virtually any load type and size in any operating environment and can provide operational efficiencies. State of the art guidance systems provide for a very flexible and agile system that can accommodate change and dynamic routing. State of the art obstacle detection technology provides a very safe operating system.

Other types of automated material handling systems we provide are:

  • A-frame sortation systems
  • Mobile aisle rack and shelving systems
  • Palletizing systems
  • Print and apply labeling systems
  • Strappers
  • Tapers
